Ba-zar Zad Sikka Waris-i-Taj-wa- Takht Jahan Muhammad Shah Bedar Bakht, (struck coins on Gold, the heir to the crown and the throne, Bedar Bakht Muhammad Jahan Shah), Rev. Sana julus maimanat manus zarb Ahmadabad, sword as a mint mark on reverse, extremely fine, die crack on obverse, exceedingly rare,  Note: In 1788 the emperor Shah Alam II was dethroned and blinded by Ghulam Qadir Rohilla, who then set up Bedar Bakht as emperor at Delhi in August 1788, but after about two months, the Maratha forces under Mahadji Scindia overthrew and killed Ghulam Qadir and reinstated Shah Alam II. Coins were struck for Bedar Bakht in the name of Shah Alam II at the mints of Shahjahanabad (Delhi) and an undetermined nearby location assigned the name Ahmadabad (Ghausgarh). Bedar Bakhat was the Mughal Emperor for this brief period in 1788 AD. He was allegedly put to death in 1790 by order of Shah Alam II, supposedly for usurping his authority in 1788.

Sikka-e-zad dar shaher-e-Agra Khusro panah-giti, Superb Gem-Uncirculated Specimen with radiant lustre & high relief, KM # 185.1, exceedingly rare. These Sawai Mohurs were struck in limited quantities solely as a presentation issue for court officials and foreign dignitaries. Entire coin’s iconography is rendered in extremely bold relief, reflecting the highest standards of craftsmanship from the Mughal Empire’s Imperial Mint of Agra, making it one of the most desirable and sought-after coins among collectors recently.

Gupta Empire, Samudragupta (335-370 AD), Gold Dinar, 7.80 gms, Lyrist type, Variety B, As per TOTGE only 10 specimen of Variety B are recorded making this variety rarer than the usual lyrist type, Obv. King seated upright facing left on a high-backed throne, wearing a pearled cap and dhoti, playing the Veena that rests on his knees, circular Brahmi legend ‘Maharajadhiraja Shri...(Samudra) guptah’ partially seen around, the letter 'ptah' appears between the lute and the king's head, Rev. Goddess Lakshmi seated left on a wicker stool, holding a diadem in her right hand and a cornucopia in the left hand, Brahmi legend "SaMuDraGuPtah" on the right field, tamgha on left field, TOTGE Var. B.1, extremely fine, extremely rare. Note: The author reported about 10 specimens of Variety B; hence, these are much rarer than Variety A.

Awadh State, Muhammad Ali (AH 1253-1258/1837-1842 AD), Suba Awadh Bait-us-Sultanat Lakhnau Mint, Gold "Nazarana Ashrafi" AH 1256 / 4 RY, "Bejud-o-Karam" Couplet, Obv: Persian legend "Bajud-o-Karam sikka zad dar Jahan, Muhammad Ali Badshah-e-zaman".Rev: Persian legend "zarb suba Awadh Bait-us-sultanat Lakhnau, sana 3 julus maimanat manus".(KM # 316.1 /MK # 9.32) 
Muhammad Ali Shah was the third King of Awadh, succeeding his nephew Naseer-ud-Din Haidar, After the sudden and suspicious death of Naseer-ud-Din Haidar in 1837, a power struggle ensued, The British East India Company backed Muhammad Ali Shah’s claim to the throne against Munna Jan (an alleged illegitimate son of Naseer-ud-Din), due to his perceived pliability and loyalty to British interests. His reign was heavily influenced (and controlled) by the British Resident in Lucknow. His coinage, especially the gold Nazarana Ashrafis and Mohurs, are exquisite and rare.  Struck on a broad flan, this exceptional specimen displays full die impressions on both sides, with complete and intricately decorated borders, an uncommon feature, even among Nazarana issues, A highly attractive example with minimal handling marks, retaining its original luster and sharp details. Nazarana Ashrafis of Muhammad Ali from the Awadh series are exceedingly rare, particularly in such well-preserved condition with full details intact.The Awadh (Oudh) series includes some of the most aesthetically appealing coinage from the Indian subcontinent and are among the most sought-after pieces in Indian numismatics.

Madura Sultanate, Jalal al-din Ahsan Shah (AH 734-740; 1333-1339 AD), Gold Tanka, 11.02g, Hadrat Madhura Mint, AH 735, abul za'afa'a wa'l masakin Ahsan Shah al-sultan khuldat khilafatahu legend on obv. Uncirculated. All gold coins of Madura Sultan are extremely rare. Coins of Ahsan Shah are not listed in Goenka and Goron nor in Rajgor’s catalogues.

Akbar, Contemporary Gold Token, 10.93g, Imitation of Gold Mehrabi, Agra Mint, RY 49, Ilahi Month Amardad, Obv. Jal-e-jalal Akbar Allah, Rev. zarb Agra with RY Amardad Ilahi above, extremely fine, very rare. Despite of being a contemporary token this is is a very rare issue to find.

Gupta Empire, Chandragupta II (375-415 AD), Gold Dinar, 7.59 gms, Lion-Slayer Type, Obv. king standing, is seen mid-hunt, wearing dhoti and sash on his upper torso, holding a bow in his left hand with the right releasing the bowstring, the lion is facing the king and seen falling backward probably with an arrow in its mouth, the Brahmi legend around the field, Rev. goddess Lakshmi seated on a Lion to left, showering coins with her right hand and a lotus in her left hand, ‘Simhavikramah’ on the right field, TOTGE Class III-Var. A.4.2, very fine, very rare.

Gupta Empire, Kumaragupta I (415-455 AD), Gold Dinar, 8.07 gms, Horseman to Right type, Obv: king riding a horse to the right, wearing armlets, Brahmi legend ‘GupToKu(la vyomasasi jyatyajeyo) jitamahendrah’ around the field, Rev. goddess Lakshmi, neck, wrists bejewelled, seated facing left on a wicker stool, left hand of the goddess rests on her waist, holding a lotus with a long stalk, feeding grapes to a peacock on the left field, partial Brahmi legend "AJiTaMaHenDrah" on the right, dotted border around, TOTGE Class III- Variety A, extremely fine, very rare.

Akbar (AH 963-1014, 1556-1605 AD), Silver ½ Rupee, 5.72 gms, Surat (سورت) Mint, AH 984, Obv. Kalima Shahada withing dotted square & mint name Surat in left quadrant, Rev. Jalal-ud-din Muhammad Akbar Badhsh Ghazi with date AH984 withing dotted square, Mint State specimen with pleasing luster, Almost complete mint name on flan, Unreported, Unique, exceedingly rare. As a chaotic succession crisis unfolded for the Gujarat Sultanate, Akbar recognized that the matter of conquering Gujarat was of paramount importance. He subsequently launched his campaign from Fatehpur Sikri on the day 20 Tir, divine month, corresponding to Tuesday, 20 Safar 4th July 1572. Upon conquering Ahmedabad, Akbar received information that the Mirza rebels were in Surat. He then marched to annex the fort, arriving in its vicinity on 8 Bahman, Divine month corresponding to Monday, 7th Ramazan, 11th January 1573(AH 980), & following roughly six weeks of resistance, the fort's commandant surrendered on 26 February 1573. Akbar Surat Mint Rupees are known with dates, AH 1002 & some are known with RY 37, 38 which corresponds to AH 1001 & AH 1002. This particular coin, dated AH 984, has the earliest reported date for a silver coin from the Surat mint. One copper ½ Falus of Gujarat Standard from Surat Mint was reported with a partial date ‘AH 98x’. (JONS Vol. 237, Autumn 2019) It is also interesting that the name of the Surat mint is inscribed as 'Zurat' on later rupees, i.e. ‘ص’ instead of ‘س’. The coin bears the complete mint name 'سورت', which is insribed with a 'س'. This makes the coin a new, unreported, and unique discovery.

Jahangir (AH 1014-1037/1605-1627 AD), Agra Mint, Complete Dotted Border Both Sides, Silver Rupee, AH 1022/8 RY, Month Mihir , Obv: Persian legend "Noor ud-din Jahangir Shah Akbar Shah" within a dotted border, Rev: Persian legend "zarb Agra" & "sana 1022 Hijri" with 8 regnal year at the bottom, "Elahi mah Mihir" at the top within a dotted border,(KM# 145.1), superb mint luster, struck in high relief, complete dotted border on bothsides, This coin features elaborate floral Scroll-work on both sides and a superbly centered strike. The Double knit beaded border is visible. It still gleams with its original Lustre, making it one of the most attractive examples of its type known. graded by NGC as UNC DETAILS, Extremely Rare.

Kushanas, Huvishka (155-190 AD), Gold Dinar, 7.80 gms, ‘Oesho’ *(four armed) Type, Obv. diademed and half-length crowned bust facing the left, emerging from clouds, holding a mace-scepter in one hand and an elephant-goad (ankush) in the other hand, Bactrian legends ‘þAONANOþAO OOηþKI KOþANO’ (King of Kings Huvishka the Kushan) around the field, Rev. four-armed Oesho (Shiva) standing, nimbate, facing left, hair in a top knot and wearing a dhoti, holding a tilted water pot in his lower-right hand, a damru in upper-right hand, and a trident in his upper-left hand, an antilope is held by the horns in his lower-left hand, tamgha on the left field, Bactrian legend ‘OηþO’ (OESHO) on the right field, dotted border around the field, completely struck on both sides, extremely fine with high relief, minor dent/gold testing marks on edge, very rare. Note: Huvishka’s Oesho type dinar are comparatively very rare than Kanishka’s Oesho type dinar.
