Kushanas, Huvishka (155-190 AD), Gold Dinar, 7.80 gms, ‘Oesho’ *(four armed) Type, Obv. diademed and half-length crowned bust facing the left, emerging from clouds, holding a mace-scepter in one hand and an elephant-goad (ankush) in the other hand, Bactrian legends ‘þAONANOþAO OOηþKI KOþANO’ (King of Kings Huvishka the Kushan) around the field, Rev. four-armed Oesho (Shiva) standing, nimbate, facing left, hair in a top knot and wearing a dhoti, holding a tilted water pot in his lower-right hand, a damru in upper-right hand, and a trident in his upper-left hand, an antilope is held by the horns in his lower-left hand, tamgha on the left field, Bactrian legend ‘OηþO’ (OESHO) on the right field, dotted border around the field, completely struck on both sides, extremely fine with high relief, minor dent/gold testing marks on edge, very rare. Note: Huvishka’s Oesho type dinar are comparatively very rare than Kanishka’s Oesho type dinar.
