Gujarat, (700-800 AD), Unattributed Copper Unit, 1.07 gms, Obv. figure of a 'Gandharva' (celestial human being) flying to right. Rev. trident in the centre; Kutila legend Shri Vishala(raja?)... around, very fine, very rare. From the legend it is evident that the coin was issued by a king named 'Vishalaraja' or 'Visalaraja'. It is not certain to which dynasty he belonged, but at this time many small Rajput dynasties rose to prominence in Gujarat.

Kakatiyas of Warangal, Prola-II (1110-1158 CE), Gold PMC, 2 ½ Gold Gadyana, 9.77 gms, ‘Goddess Lakshmi’ type, Total of 16 repousse punches elegantly hammered on the obverse of a Padma shaped circular flan. The central punch consists of the image of Goddess Lakshmi seated in Padmasana within an arched Garbhagriha, the sanctum sanctorum. She holds two lotus flowers in her upper hands which are the symbols of beauty, prosperity and fertility. The lower 2 hands are in the abhaya mudra of divine protection and the varada mudra of granting boon. The peripheral circumfluent punches consist of 2x Sri-Sri, 1x 'Mandalika' and 1x 'Kesari' all inscribed in Kannada, and 4 groups of Lotus-Boar-Lotus symbol punches interleaving the legend punches. The boar is shown walking facing right. Almost Uncirculated, extremely rare.

Devanagari Legend in three lines reading ‘Shrimat-Tri/lokyaVa/mmaDeva’, The Chandellas under Paramardi's successor Trailokya Varman (ca. 1203/5-1245/7 CE) regained both their independence and their great fortress. From this point, however, the volume of their gold coin mintage diminished considerably. The coins of Trailokya Varman are very scarce, Deyell, Lakshmi: Bearer of riches, 4.7/D-141+3, very fine, rare.
