Gujarat, (700-800 AD), Unattributed Copper Unit, 1.07 gms, Obv. figure of a 'Gandharva' (celestial human being) flying to right. Rev. trident in the centre; Kutila legend Shri Vishala(raja?)... around, very fine, very rare. From the legend it is evident that the coin was issued by a king named 'Vishalaraja' or 'Visalaraja'. It is not certain to which dynasty he belonged, but at this time many small Rajput dynasties rose to prominence in Gujarat.
