Pallas standing, holding long spear and small shield, nandipada to left, monogram to right, Senior #175.241, very fine+, extremely rare. Note: Vijayamitra was an Apracha king who ruled in Gandhara, with his capital in Bajaur, from approximately 12 BC to 20 CE. As a significant supporter of Buddhism, he dedicated a Buddhist reliquary, known as in the Shinkot casket, and some of his coins feature the Buddhist Triratna symbol. He succeeded his predecessor Visnuvarma and was followed by his son, Indravasu.
