Gupta Empire, Samudragupta (335-375 AD), Gold Dinar, 7.45 gms, Complete Legend Samudraguptah below King's arm (very rare than usual), Scepter/Standard type, Obv. king standing facing left on grass, nimbate, holding the royal scepter in his left hand and sacrificing over an altar, Garuda standard in the left field, Brahmi legend ‘SaMuDra GuPtah’ below the king's arm, circular Brahmi legend ‘(Sama)RaSaTaViTaTaViJaYoJiTaRiPuRaJiTo(Divamjayati), Rev. nimbate goddess Lakshmi, seated on throne, a diadem and a cornucopia in her hands, a tamgha in the top-left field Brahmi legend "PaRaKraMah" in the right field, partial dotted border around, TOTGE Variety E, very fine, rare. Note: Above coin has full name 'SaMuDra GuPtah' legends below the kings arm on the obverse. Usual coin only bears legends 'Samudra', hence rare variety.
