Rajas of Rewari, In the name of Shah Alam II (AH 1174-1221, 1759-1806 AD), Silver Rupee, 10.82 gms, Gokulgarh Mint, AH 1186, RY 14, Gokalgarh is situated at a distance of 3 kms. from Rewarl town. In the past, the ruler of Rewari, Rao Gujar Mal, during the time of Aurangzeb, was granted the titles of Rai Bahadur and Commander of five thousand and the right to govern the parganas of Narnaul and Hisar. He erected forts at Gurawada and Gokalgarh. He also minted coin, known as Gokal Sicca (rupees) here and these were in circulation at Farrukhnagar at the time of the first Independence Movement of 1857, very fine+, rare.
