Sri Sri/ Parikshit Na/rayana Bhupa/lasya Sake/ 1525, R&B #32, KM #59, less than 10 specimen known till date, extremely fine, exceedingly rare. Note: Parikshit Narayan, the eldest son of Raghudev, succeeded his father as the King of Cooch in 1603. His reign was characterized by a protracted conflict with his cousin, Lakshmi Narayan, the ruler of the Western Cooch kingdom. The conflict escalated when Lakshmi Narayan sought assistance from the Mughal Empire, prompting a Mughal invasion of Parikshit Narayan's realm in 1612. Parikshit Narayan's forces were defeated by the Mughals during the campaign of 1612-1613. Subsequently, his kingdom was annexed, and he was taken prisoner to the Mughal Emperor in Delhi. He passed away in 1616 while undertaking a pilgrimage to Tribeni.
