Mughal, Murad Bakhsh (AH 1068, 1658 AD), Silver Rupee, 11.46 gms, Ghazi Type, Khambayat Mint(on top), AH 1068, Obv. Murad Baksh Badshah Ghazi within square & abu al Muzaffar murawij ud din maah Ilahi ahad zarb khambayat around divided in 4 qaurdrants, Rev. kalima shahada with caliph’s name around, KM # 272.2, extremely fine, very rare.
Note: Coins from the Khambayat mint during the reign of Murad Baksh were minted in two distinct varieties. One variety featured the full legend 'Muhammad Murad Baksh Badshah Ghazi,' while the other bore the truncated inscription 'Murad Baksh Ghazi'. This latter variety, featuring the shorter legend 'Murad Baksh Ghazi,' is considered very rare and is highly sought after by collectors. Offered coin distinctly displays the complete mint name "Khambayat" prominently at the top of the flan.
