    Bengal Sultanate, Ghiyath Al-Din Mahmud (AH 939-945, 1532-1538 AD), Silver Badr Shahi Tanka, 10.65 gms, Rahillabad Badarpur Mint, AH 934, Obv. Al sultan bin al sultan ghiyath al dunya wa’al din abu al Muzaffar Mahmud Shah al sultan, badr shahi in centre, Rev. husain shah al sultan khald allah mukahu wa al sultanahu, with mint name Rahillabad Badarpur & date, badr shahi in centre, G&G # B911, very fine+, extremely rare. Note: The mint of Rahillabad-Badarpur in the Bengal Sultanate was a temporary, minor provincial mint used during the reign of the last independent Sultan Ghiyath Al-din Mahmud & only known in Badr Shahi mint. Badarpur was a suburb, now lost, located near Khalifatabad (modern-day Bagerhat District in Bangladesh). The sultan may have added "Badarpur" after his own laqab (honorific name), Abd-al-Badar, to the existing name of Khalifatabad.
