    Ancient, Feudatories of Vishnukundins, The Rama-Kashyapa Gotri rulers of Pishtapura (Peethapuram, Eastern Andhra Pradesh), Prithvimaharaja, Deccan, (5th-6th Century AD), Alloyed Copper Unit, 3.06 gms, Obv. Roaring Vishnukundin-style lion facing right, small Shrivatsa above its back and Brahmi legend “Shri Rama”, Rev. Sankha shell between two lampstands within a rayed circle, Rayed border, Pieper # 3001, fine to very fine, very scarce. Note: The Rama-Kashyapa gotri rulers were part of a confederacy of feudatories set up towards the end of the Vishnukundin rule. They were followed by Eastern Chalukyas of Vengi.
