Akbar (AH 963-1014, 1556-1605 AD), Silver Square Rupee, 11.27 gms, Urdu Mint, Obv. kalima shahada in four petalled scallop pattern with the names of four khalifas name in fours angles, Rev. akbar badshah ghazi zarb urdu at left bottom corner in an ornamented scallop diamond, the top corners contain Khald Allah, Liddle #S42, very fine+, extremely rare. Note: The term ‘Urdu’ denotes a nomadic imperial mint facility or a Mobile Mint that accompanied the Mughal forces on campaigns, it is derived from the Chagatai word for a royal encampment or mobile army mint.
